Captain Sanjana Nallapati teamed up with vice-captain Mehar Trehan to give Jamaica its first gold medal at the Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championships at the South Sound Squash Club in the Cayman Islands. The number one seeded doubles pair successfully defended its tile against Barbados in an exciting battle of skill, fitness and excellent team coordination on the squash court.
Earlier in the championship Trehan copped a silver medal against the dangerous Eboni Atherley of Barbados in an epic match-up. At the end of the match the scores were two games to Trehan and three games for Atherley but it signified the first time that Atherley was ever losing a game at the junior championship.
Nallapati got the bronze medal in straight sets 3-0 over Gabrielle Turchiaro in a commanding performance.

Jamaica now has three medals – a gold, silver and a bronze.
The mixed doubles team of Ethan Miller and Elle Wilson lost their semi-final match-up to Guyana’s Louis Silva and Avery Arjoon.
The boys team are having a challenging time at the championship. They are still trying to get into medal contention.
The teams are currently competing for the team championship title to close out the competition for this year.
