MORANT BAY, St. Thomas — Police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Rojhae Gayle of Friendship Lane, Morant Bay, on Tuesday night.
According to reports, residents of Springfield, Bamboo Lane, heard explosions around 11:15 p.m. and alerted the authorities. Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered Gayle suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, no motive has been established for the killing, and the Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is actively probing the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in solving this case to come forward.
