Identities of Two Killed in Trelawny Crash Released

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Police have identified the two people who died following a collision involving a motor car and a truck on the Braco main road in Trelawny on Monday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Alicia Dormer of Westgate Hills and 26-year-old Oneal Henry of Catherine Hall, both in Montego Bay, St James.

According to the Constabulary Communication Unit, the crash occurred about 4:50 p.m. Henry was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara with Dormer as a passenger when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle while travelling along a section of the roadway.

The Grand Vitara subsequently collided with a Freightliner motor truck travelling in the opposite direction.

Both Henry and Dormer sustained injuries and were taken to the Falmouth Public General Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Investigations are being carried out by members of the Trelawny Police Division’s Traffic Department.
