Hunt’s Bay Police Seized First Illegal Firearm of 2019

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Despite setting the task of investigating the first murder of 2019, officers attached to the Hunts Bay Police Station made amends on Tuesday, January 1, by seizing the first illegal firearm in the year 2019.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Reports by the Hunts Bay Police are that, following the murder of a man in their policing Division on Tuesday, a team of officers were carrying out patrols duties in sections of Bishop Avenue, Kingston 11, when they saw a group of men on a premises.

The lawmen approached the premises and the men ran, and escaped into bushes.

A search of the same premises from which they ran, led to the seizure of a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol, along with 13 rounds of ammunition.
