A 37-year-old higgler is now battling for his life after being shot and seriously wounded along Market Street in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, on Wednesday morning.
Reports are that shortly after 4:00 am, the higgler was sitting near a shop along Market Street when he was approached by a man.
The man reportedly pulled out a handgun and opened fire, hitting the victim multiple times before running from the scene.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they found the higgler, who had run but collapsed a short distance away, lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted in critical condition.
