Hanover Man Killed After Being Hit by Motor Car in Flankers, St James

An elderly man who hailed from Hopewell in Hanover, died from injuries he sustained, after being hit by a motor car along a section of the Flankers main road, in Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday, September 5.

He has been identified as 72-year-old Llewellyn McKenzie, of 4 Bamboo Drive, in Hopewell, Hanover.

Reports are that shortly after 7:00 pm, McKenzie was walking along the roadway during heavy rainfall, in the vicinity of the JDF Burke Barracks, towards Rosehall, when he walked across the path of a motor car.

McKenzie sustained multiple injuries and died on the scene.

The Coral Gardens police were summoned and upon arrival, the lawmen processed the scene and the body was later removed to the morgue for a post mortem examination.
