An ex-police officer who hails from Green Island in Hanover was shot and killed in Negril, Westmoreland on Wednesday night February 27.
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Neville James.
Reports from the Negril police are that about 7:45 p.m., on Wednesday, James and a female companion were among other patrons at a restaurant along Norman Manley Boulevard, when two men entered the establishment.
The men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting James multiple times to his body before making their escape in a waiting motor car.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, James was transported to the Savannah la mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
