ST ANDREW – The St Andrew South police are investigating a deadly shooting incident in which six men were shot by gunmen after leaving a wake early Sunday morning. One of the victims has since succumbed to his injuries, while five others remain hospitalized.
The attack occurred around 1:05 a.m. along Fenbrook Avenue. Reports indicate that the victims, aged between 18 and 55, were leaving the gathering when armed men opened fire on them.
Emergency services rushed the injured men to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save him, one of the victims did not survive.
The Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the probe into the incident. Authorities have not yet disclosed a possible motive for the attack.
