Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: Members of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and other governing football bodies across the island of Jamaica, are now sending a host of condolences to the family and friends of the Chairman and Founder of the Sporting Central Football Club, who was shot dead by gunmen on the compound of a hotel in the parish of St Andrew on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

The deceased, 47-year-old John Brandon Murray, who is also a professional landscaper of Clarendon Park address in Clarendon, played a great role within the football fraternity.  He along with former National Reggae Boy player Christopher Dawes started the Sporting Central Football Club in the year 2000.

He is also known for his craftsmanship at professional landscaping for a number of resorts and also the manager of a popular Jerk Centre in the parish.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Murray was conducting his landscaping business on the compound of the Mayfair Hotel located along West Kings House Close when he was shot by unknown assailants.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, they discovered Murray lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police have now reported that they are working with some strong leads and expect to make a breakthrough into this latest murder in a very short period.
