Five Men Charged in Connection with $12-Billion Cocaine Seizure in Havendale

Kingston, Jamaica: The police have formally charged five men in connection with the massive $12-billion cocaine bust in Havendale, St Andrew, which took place on August 6, 2024. The men, all from Kingston addresses, were arrested following a three-hour operation that led to the seizure of approximately 2,600 kilograms (5,569 pounds) of cocaine, with an estimated street value of US$75.79 million.

– George Sterling, 51 years old
– Clayton Peart, 42 years old
– Junior Haldane, 72 years old

The charges brought against them include possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trafficking of cocaine, and conspiracy. The police have also seized two motor vehicles as part of the ongoing investigation.
