KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police have recovered a fifth firearm in connection with Monday’s foiled murder plot on Jacks Hill Road, St Andrew, which left five alleged contract killers dead.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the latest find — a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition — was seized during a secondary operation conducted on Tuesday between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm along Jacks Hill Road.
On Monday, police intercepted a group of armed men reportedly contracted to carry out a hit in the upscale community. The men reportedly opened fire on the police team, sparking a gun battle that left five of them dead and resulted in the seizure of four firearms at the scene.
Police say a sixth suspect escaped and remains at large. The identities of the deceased men have not yet been released.
