Jamaica News, Trelawny: 27-year-old Sales Executive Diandra Bravo of Montego Bay in St James, lost her life in a fiery motor vehicle collision which occurred along the Rio Bueno By-Pass in Trelawny on Thursday afternoon, June 28, 2018.
Our news team also learned that, nineteen other persons which include several foreign national who were travelling in a Grey Hound express bus received injuries and had to be transported to hospital.
The Trelawny police have reported that, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Bravo who was employed to a popular Pre-Mix company, was travelling in her Blue Toyota Rav 4 SUV from the directions of Ochi Rios towards Montego Bay.
On reaching a section of the Rio Bueno main road, she was in the process of overtaking another motor car when she collided into a Knutsford Express Grey Hound bus which was travelling in the opposite direction and transporting passengers to Kingston.
The impact of the crash resulted in the SUV bursting into flames and the bus ran off the roadway then crashed in a ditch nearby. Bravo who got trapped in her vehicle was burnt beyond recognition.
Nineteen persons who were travelling as passengers in the Knutsford Express bus received injuries and were transported to the Falmouth hospital where they were treated.
Diandra Bravo is now being mourned by her husband, friends and other family members. She was also the proud mother of an 8-month-old baby.
