Female Caught with Illegal Firearm and Ganja at PNP Political Meeting in Trelawny

Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: The Trelawny Police on Sunday arrested one woman in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and a quantity of ganja at a People’s National Party meeting which was being held at the Falmouth All Age School on Sunday, June 17, 2018.

So far investigators have identified the female as a 38-year-old unemployed of Hague Settlement also in the parish.

Reports are that on Sunday, a team of officers were on Patrol in Falmouth area when they went to a People’s National Party political meeting which was being held at the Falmouth All Age School in Trelawny

Upon reaching the location, they saw the female and demanded a search of her handbag. The woman quickly handed the handbag to the police and ran.  The police gave chase and the woman was held and brought back to the location.

The bag was searched in her presence and found to contain a .9mm semi-automatic pistol with a magazine containing 10 live rounds.  A parcel which contained ganja was also found in the handbag.
