Suspect Being Sought in Connection with Four Family Members Murdered in Hanover

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) Four Family Members Murdered: Following the heartless gun slaying of four family members in Mount Pleasant district in Hanover, the police are now saying that they are in search of the main suspect who is the close relative of the murdered female.

The four family members murdered are: Curtis Walters,  57-year-old taxi operator, his 34-year-old common-law wife Erica Leslie, otherwise called “Calesha”  along with their 17-year-old son Iyana Walters and 14-year-old daughter Curtina Walters, were shot dead by the gunmen.

Investigators said they believed that their death came about after Erica Leslie was labeled to be an informer.  Police also believed that one of her close family member who is said to be linked to a notorious gang in the area has information that could assist them in their investigations.

The police are now asking the male relative to turn himself over to the police.

Reports by the Lucea police are that, about 11:35 pm on Monday, Walters and his family were at home asleep in their one room board dwelling house when armed men kicked open the door.

The gunmen sprayed the dwelling with bullets killing the entire family on the spot.

Residents in the area who heard the barrage of gunshots alerted the police,  upon arrival, all four were discovered inside the house suffering from gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and the bodies pronounced dead at the Noel Holmes Hospital.
