Falmouth’s Call for KFC Restaurant Answered

Mckoy,s Business News: There were many happy faces on Saturday, December 15 when franchise owners for KFC opened it’s 36th restaurant in Falmouth Trelawny. Managing Director for Restaurants of Jamaica Mark Myers said at the official opening at Champion Plaza that the call has been answered as residents of the parish usually have to travel all the way to Montego Bay to patronise KFC meals before now.

He also mentioned that three additional outlets will be opened in the coming year as part of the companies mandate to expand and at the same time create more employment for the citizens of Jamaica.

There will be two new outlets in the corporate area; Mountain View and Harbour View by March 2019 and another in May Pen Clarendon later next year  Mr. Myers explained. In addressing the large gathering in Falmouth yesterday, he also said that the new store employs 50 people from nearby communities in the parish and is the latest investment of  JMD $200 million and of greater importance the company uses local distributors for its produce supporting local farmers of agricultural products also. He went on to say that Jamaica is a tremendous market for KFC’s operations.

Minister of Industry, Agriculture Commerce and Fisheries Audley Shaw in addressing the turn out yesterday praised Restaurants of Jamaica for it’s a tremendous and invaluable contribution to the island of Jamaica and also mentioned that Trelawny is air marked for further growth and development with  plans to create three more housing development as well as major agricultural projects that will come on stream in the near future.
