Missing Broadway Dancer Zelig Williams

Emotional Plea from Mother of Missing Broadway Dancer Zelig Williams

Kathy Williams, the mother of missing Broadway dancer Zelig Williams, broke down during an emotional press conference on Wednesday, pleading for the public’s help in finding her 28-year-old son. Overcome with grief, she collapsed into a relative’s arms at the podium, repeatedly saying, “He’s all I got.”
Timeline of Disappearance

Zelig Williams, who has performed in productions like Hamilton and MJ the Musical, was last seen on the morning of October 3 after leaving his mother’s home in South Carolina. His car was later found abandoned near Congaree National Park, about 17 miles from Columbia. Despite an SOS alert reportedly sent from his phone indicating a car crash, no signs of a crash were found near his vehicle.

Search Efforts and Community Response

At the press conference, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott urged anyone with information to come forward, expressing hope that someone may unknowingly hold the “last key to the puzzle.” Authorities have deployed extensive manpower and technology in their search efforts but have so far been unsuccessful in locating him.

Family members believe Williams may have stopped taking his medication before disappearing, which could have left him in a vulnerable “trance-like state,” according to his cousin. His disappearance has raised deep concern due to his history of mental health challenges, adding urgency to the ongoing search.

Kathy Williams revealed that Zelig is her only surviving child, having lost her two daughters in a tragic car accident in 2004. She shared that Zelig’s love for dance was inspired by his late sisters, making their bond even stronger. “It’s just me and him,” she said. “I want him home.”

Friends, including his “dance mom” Caroline Lewis Jones, also spoke at the press conference, describing Zelig as an immensely talented and beloved figure in the dance community. They are urging the public to continue sharing his story in hopes of bringing him home.

Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Richland County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.

The search continues as the community rallies to find the talented performer, who remains missing nearly two weeks after his last sighting.
