Elderly Man Mowed Down from his Bicycle in St Catherine

Jamaica News, St Catherine: An elderly man lost his life after he was hit from his bicycle by a motorist along a section of the Braeton main road in St Catherine on Monday morning, May 21.

The deceased has been identified as Owen Gordon, 73-year-old retiree also of Portmore in St Catherine.

The Portmore Police have reported that shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Monday,  Gordon was riding his bicycle along a section of the Braeton main road when he was struck down by the driver of a Toyota Corolla motor car.

It is still not known if the driver of the motor car is identified but Gordon died on the spot.

Eyewitnesses summoned the police and upon arrival, the scene was processed and the body was later transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
