A 70-year-old handyman from St John’s Garden in Spanish Town, St Catherine, has died after being struck by a motor vehicle earlier this week.
Ronald McKenzie, a well-known figure in his community, passed away Tuesday night at the Spanish Town Hospital, where he had been admitted following the accident.
The incident occurred on Monday evening at approximately 7:15 p.m. Reports indicate that McKenzie was attempting to cross St John’s Road when he was hit by a 2018 Nissan AD Wagon.
Passersby quickly assisted McKenzie and transported him to the hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
