St Thomas, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Doreen Dyer, the St Thomas woman who was seen on a viral social media video beating her daughter with a machete last year was on Friday sentenced to three years probation with parental counselling and anger management.
The casefor sentensing was called before the St Thomas Parish Court on Friday February 9, 2018.
Fourty-Four year old Doreen Dyer previously pleaded guilty to cruelty to a child, an was today sentenced to three years probation.
The video showed Ms Dyer clad in only her underwear and hitting her daughter repeatedly what a machete, while saying she was tired of her Children.
The video and subsequent arrest of Doreen Dyer caused national and international stir, a many persons were in support of her, while others condemned her for Beating her daughter with a machete,
