DJ Headache Crowned Starstruck Selectors Clash Champion

DJ Headache emerged victorious at the highly anticipated Starstruck Selectors Clash finals, held on Wednesday, July 9, at the Pier One Complex in Montego Bay, earning the title of Champion Selector in front of a large and enthusiastic audience.

Fans showered the selector with praise following his impressive performance. Many compared his versatility and crowd-control skills to those of renowned selector Tony Matterhorn, while noting that DJ Headache possesses a unique style of his own.

The final showdown saw DJ Headache face off against Bad Stain in a four-part clash judged by audience votes. Bad Stain opened the competition strongly, delivering a selection packed with hit songs. However, DJ Headache responded with an energetic set that created a vibrant party atmosphere, captivating the crowd and securing victory in the opening segment.

Bad Stain fought back in the second round, winning the Sing Along segment to level the contest at one round apiece. The momentum shifted once again as DJ Headache dominated the final two segments, keeping patrons dancing and fully engaged with a series of crowd-pleasing selections.

When the votes were counted, DJ Headache secured a convincing 3-1 victory over his opponent.

The competition began with 13 selectors battling for supremacy, making DJ Headache’s achievement even more impressive. For his victory, he received a cash prize of J$150,000 along with the coveted Wray & Nephew-sponsored championship trophy.

The event was hosted by MC Peta-Gaye King and attracted a strong turnout of supporters, who witnessed an exciting display of musical talent and selector skills.

Representing the Krazy Dawg camp, DJ Headache proudly displayed both his championship trophy and symbolic cheque following his triumph, marking what many believe could be the beginning of a promising rise within Jamaica’s sound system and entertainment industry.
