NEW YORK, NY – Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing additional criminal charges in his federal case in New York, as prosecutors have filed a third superseding indictment. The new charges significantly expand the scope of the allegations against the music mogul.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, federal prosecutors are adding two new charges: sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. These charges stem from allegations spanning 2021 to 2024 and involve an individual referred to as “Victim-2.”
Diddy’s legal team has previously characterized the alleged victims in the case as former girlfriends, with “Victim-1” widely speculated to be singer Cassie.
With the new indictment, Diddy now faces a total of five criminal charges: two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering.
Diddy has previously pleaded not guilty to the federal government’s previous indictments, and his trial is currently scheduled to begin on May 5th.
The new charges add further complexity to the ongoing legal proceedings, which have garnered significant media attention. The allegations paint a disturbing picture of alleged criminal behavior, and the outcome of the trial will be closely watched.
Attempts to reach Diddy’s representatives for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
