Dear McKoy, I am writing this letter very upset and I do not want to do anything irrational. My boyfriend and I were together for two years, and I finally decided to bring him home to my family around a year and a half in. Everybody took to him and even my mother said I made the right choice. Fast forward to couple weeks later, I notice that he would pop up at the house more often and that my aunt would engage in long convos with him, and even leave dinner for him if she cooked. I did not assume anything. I simply thought she was a good aunt-in-law. Little after, I realized that she would try to set me up with other guys from the community and this was strange to me ’cause she knew I loved my man. She kept saying stuff like how other guys have more money than him and I deserve someone who can spoil me more. Mind you, my boyfriend was making a decent amount but he had a lot of bills to pay so he could not get me everything I wanted.
