Westmoreland, Jamaica (McN) – The Grange Hill and Little London police in the parish of Westmoreland are now asking members of the public for their assistance in identity a man whose partially decomposing body was discovered in an abandoned pit latrine the area on Friday afternoon.
Investigators pointed out that they are also carrying out investigations to determine if the victim may have been a mentally challenged man who residents say hails from Delph Land District and, who they say went missing from the area several days ago.
Dead Man Found Burnt in Pit Toilet
Reports are that about 2:20 pm on Friday residents in the Delph Land community alerted the police after they stumbled upon the body which at the bottom of the pit.
Upon the arrival of the police it was discovered that the body was burnt with the use of old tires. It took the police
and the fire fighters several hours to remove the decomposing body from the pit.

The lawmen also stated that due to the vast state of decomposing it is unable to determine how the victim was killed at this time.
