WESTMORELAND, JAMAICA — Detectives attached to the Darliston Police Station in Westmoreland have launched a manhunt for a group of robbers who broke into Jones Service Station, making off with liquor valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars.
According to reports, the operators securely locked up the gas station on Saturday night and went home.
Around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, the owners were alerted to a robbery in progress at the establishment and immediately contacted the police.
The police responded swiftly, but the robbers managed to escape, taking a significant quantity of mixed liquor with them. Authorities have estimated the value of the stolen items to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
