Toronto, Canada: The highly anticipated Sandz X Caribbean Music Festival is set to infuse Toronto’s Milton Fairgrounds with the vibrant rhythms of dancehall on July 6, 2024. This festival promises an unforgettable musical experience, featuring electrifying performances by renowned dancehall stars Kraff and Skeng.
Kraff, celebrated for his hit tracks such as ‘CalmC’, ‘Rum Behavior’, ‘White Rum’, and ‘100 Watt’, will be joining forces with Skeng, known for popular songs like ‘Gvnman Shift’, ‘Eediattt’, ‘London’, and ‘23’. Their collaborative 2023 hit ‘Shottaz’ is anticipated to be a standout moment in their performance.
Carlton Davy, Director of Twenty 14 Limited, the organizers behind the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival, expressed his enthusiasm:
“With Kraff and Skeng both having strong followings in Canada, I am confident they will be a big hit with the audience. Our goal is to deliver an authentic Jamaican experience, and including these artists is a perfect way to achieve that. Over the past decade, we’ve grown from a small party in Jamaica into one of the largest festivals of this kind, and we’re eager to continue expanding.”
Sandz X has had a stellar year in 2024, with successful events held in Jamaica on January 1 at Stadium East, Kingston, and April 1 at Plantation Cove, St. Ann; in Florida on May 27; and in New York on June 8. Each event has drawn large crowds, solidifying Sandz X’s reputation as a leading Caribbean music festival.
In addition to the Toronto event, Carlton Davy announced the launch of Sandz Vacation: Thailand, an 8-day, 7-night adventure featuring parties and cultural experiences, taking advantage of the recent policy change allowing Jamaicans visa-free travel to Thailand.
Andrew Ellis, leading the Twenty 14 Limited team, expressed excitement for the festival’s ongoing international journey with the Toronto event. The festival will return to Jamaica on August 1 for Emancipation Day at Shazz Grounds, St. Ann, and will wrap up the year with a major event on October 20 in St. Elizabeth, responding to popular demand for new locations.
