Investigators attached to the Major Investigation Division are carrying out investigation surrounding the death of a common-law couple, who were shot and killed by gunmen at their home in Frome community, Westmoreland, on Friday, June 16.
They have been identified as 20-year-old Vivene Brown and 51-year-old Michael Johns, both of Prospect district in Westmoreland.
Reports by the Frome police are that about 4:00pm, Johns and Brown were inside their house at a section of the community known as Baulk, when armed men walked inside the house .
The gunmen held both victims at gunpoint before opening fire hitting them multiple times.
The gunmen made their escape in the area, followed by which the police were summoned and upon arrival, Johns was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was rushed to hospital, where she was treated but later succumb to her injuries.
