“Chineyman” on the Run after Stabbing Nandi to Death in St. Elizabeth

The St. Elizabeth police have launched a manhunt for a man who reportedly stabbed another man to death, after which he fled the scene in New Market, at Compton district, St. Elizabeth, on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is 22-year-old Onandi Bell, also known as ‘Nandi’, a laborer from Compton district, while the identity of the man on the run has been given only as ‘Chineyman’.

Reports state that around 10:00 am, both men were in the vicinity of New Market when Bell was approached by ‘Chineyman’, and an argument ensued between the two.

During the argument, the accused brandished a knife, which he used to inflict several stab wounds to Bell’s upper body before fleeing the scene.

The police were summoned, and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
