Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: A Chinese business operator who was arrested and charged by the police, after he reportedly stabbed one of his male customers during a dispute at his business place in Browns Town, St Ann, on Friday, December 28, is booked to appear in the St Ann Parish Court today, Wednesday, January 2.
The accused man, 32-year-old Oing Huang of a Brown’s Town address, is facing charges of Wounding with Intent and is being represented by Attorney-at-Law Ernest Smith.
Reports by the St Ann police are that about 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Huang was at his business place in Brown’s Town, when the man entered the establishment.
Minutes later, an argument developed between the Chinese businessman and the complainant.
A security guard at the supermarket intervened and escorted the man from the store.
Sometime later, the man returned to the supermarket and reportedly attacked the businessman, who reached for a knife and inflicted a stab wound to the stomach of his attacker.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he underwent surgery and was admitted.
The accused was then arrested and charged.
