Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Child Development Agency-MERGER of CDA and OCR to CPFSA: The Child Development Agency, the CDA and the Office of the Children’s Registry, the OCR have been merged and will have a new name.The new name is the Child Protection and Families Services Agency, the CPFSA.
The merger was announced by State Minister for Youth Floyd Green yesterday.
The State Minister says the merger will create a more efficient child protection sector with emphasis on pooling of resources, timelines as well as an eventual increase in staff complement in the field services division.
Mr Green also informed that the merger will not result in any major dislocation for staff at this time.
