Jamaica News, Manchester: 39-year-old Shawn Chin who resided in Ontario, Canada, lost his life by drowning in the Alligator Pond River in Alligator Pond district, Manchester on Tuesday.
Reports by the Manchester police are that about 1:30pm, Chin who was visiting friends in Manchester from Canada, was swimming in the river when he met into difficulties.
Other persons who were at the river dive in and fished Chin from the water.
He was rushed to hospital where he died whilst undergoing treatment. The Manchester police are now carrying out investigation.
