Buff Bay, Portland – April 1, 2025 – The town of Buff Bay has recorded its second murder for the year, contributing to a total of six homicides in Portland since the start of 2025.
According to reports, the most recent incident occurred on Monday, March 31. The victim, a man who was recently released from police custody, was walking along Russell Avenue near Buff Bay Primary School when he was fatally shot.
Witnesses reported that the man was struck by gunfire to his upper body from a moving vehicle at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and authorities have not provided any details on possible motives or suspects.
Police investigations are ongoing, and residents are being urged to come forward with any information that could assist in solving the crime.
This latest murder follows a previous homicide recorded on January 31, marking a worrying trend in the usually quiet parish of Portland.
