Al Robinson Bought Mandeville Weekly: The 24-year-old Mandeville Weekly sold to Al Robinson. Central Jamaica longest and only surviving newspaper was sold today to Media Owner Al Robinson of Mello FM. The deal was signed in the Central Capital. Anthony Freckleton and his wife Wendy Freckleton started the paper on June 15, 1993.

They were able to displaced several competition over the years. Freckleton becon Robinson to take the publication to the next level for the next 24 years. Robinson said that there will be a new, full colour, digital publication within the next 2 weeks. The paper will also be available online.Robinson praised the Freckleton for their dedication and hard work for keeping the paper going without ever missing a publication for 24 years.
