Its summer and the heat is on. The new project from one of Jamaica’s brightest poet and Spoken Word artists is officially out. “BLACK & NAKED” by Simone Fruittree Dewar is making its rounds. The piece is more than poetry its a work of art.
“Black & Naked” is about the celebration of black people. Our journey how far we have come. How far we intend to go. The piece is reflective but also exclamated with the now. The track is also done one a one drop reggae feel with strong drums which lends to our African and Jamaican heritage.
Simone Fruittree Dewar is knocking on our minds and our hearts. These are the type of Spoken Word pieces that evoke thought. The single is from her next body of work due out some time this year. The track was produced by her label Push A Yute Ent Inc. This is her first release for the year and we can see why the team waited to get it right. Track is being distributed by Kycker.
Go support one of the best Spoken Word acts out there. Go support good Reggae. Go support great art.
