Jamaica News, April 4, 2018 – Bermudian National Arrested
Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 31-year-old Bermudian National was arrested and charged for Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act on Sunday, April 1, at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay , St James.
He has been identified as Paulos Francis of Lloyd Hill in Denshire, Bermuda and he has been charged with dealing in, possession of and attempting to export Cocaine.
Reports are that shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Francis checked in at the Sangster International Airport and was in the process of boarding a flight destined for Bermuda.
Police officers attached to the Narcotics Division carried out a search of his luggage which revealed a secret compartment.
When searched it was found to contain one rectangular shaped parcel containing white powdery substance resembling cocaine. The drug which weigh approximate 3 1/2 Kilograms had a street value of $ 4, 375, 000.
The accused was subsequently arrested and is booked to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday, April 16.
