Barber Shot Dead at His Shop in Commodore, St Catherine

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A routine Saturday night turned deadly in Commodore, St Catherine, after gunmen invaded a barbershop and opened fire, killing the operator and injuring an elderly customer.

Dead is 51-year-old Andrew Richards, otherwise called “Killer,” the owner of the barbershop.

The second victim, an 81-year-old man from a Linstead address, remains hospitalised.

According to police reports, about 10:15 p.m., Richards was inside his business establishment when unknown assailant(s) entered and rained gunfire, striking both him and the elderly man.
