Twenty-seven-year-old Romaine Finnikin, otherwise called ‘Split’, labourerof Levy Path, Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14 has been arrested and charged following an incident on Trafalgar Road, Kingston 10 on Tuesday, February 28.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that about 5:00 p.m., Finnikin approached an elderly man, at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and demanded that he withdraw ten thousand Jamaican dollars (JM$10,000). A security guard, who was on duty saw what was happening, apprehended Finnikin and summoned the police. He was pointed out to the police and searched; the money was found in his possession.
Finnikin was subsequently charged with Robbery with Aggravation.
His court date is being finalised.
