Another St James Man Held with Stolen Cell Site Batteries

Jamaica Crime News, St James: One man is now in police custody, and another on the run, following their involvements in the theft of several cell site batteries at a cell site location in Albion, Montego Bay, St James on Wednesday afternoon.

The police say the name of the accused who was held in possession of four cell-site batteries, is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00 p.m., residents living in Albion area, alerted the police that a group of men traveling in two motor vehicles were removing cell site batteries from a cell site location.

The lawmen rushed to the location and intercepted the robbers, but several of the men traveling in one of the cars sped away, and managed to escape.

The driver of the other vehicle was cornered, and when searched, the vehicle was found to contain four stolen cell site batteries.
