Anfield FC and Arawak Camp Win Respective Group Honors in Lambs River Champions League

Jamaica Sports News: Lambs River Champions LeagueLast Sunday’s results saw Anfield and Bethel Town played out a 0-0 scoreline which means Anfield won their group with 11 points, Sniper United beat Bronx 1-0 which means they finished second in their group, while in the other group Arawak Camp who are tasting defeat for the first time went down 1-0 to Morning Glory who have given themselves a chance for a quarterfinal spot. Arawak Camp won Group B on difference over Ramsey Corner after both teams ended the round with 12 points each.

The other four teams in Group B are still within a chance of making it to quarterfinals so they have it all to play for over the next two weeks of first-round action.

Over in Group A, Bronx will be hoping for Bethel Town to beat Platinum Strikers if they are to qualify, a draw will see Platinum Strikers clinch fourth spot and a win for them will ensure they finish third.

This Sunday’s action will be only from Group B with two games, Mt. Peto facing Gunners at 3:30 then Daaksyde and Morning Glory will square off at 5 o’clock.
