Alleged Gangster Murdered: The Cambridge police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an alleged gangster in the Richmond Hill community, St. James, on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Kemardo Flowers, otherwise called ‘Papa Pow’ or ’26,’ a laborer from the Plantation Heights community.
A 27-year-old female was also shot and injured in the incident and is being treated at the hospital.
Reports indicate that around 6:45 pm, Flowers and a group of people were standing along the roadway in Richmond Hill when a white Toyota Axio drove into the community.
Two masked men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Flowers multiple times before speeding away from the scene.
While escaping, the gunmen opened fire on a vehicle being driven by the female, hitting her in the lower body.
The wounded woman drove towards the Cambridge police station, where she crashed and was later assisted to the hospital by police officers.
Flowers was also taken to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted to intensive care, but he later succumbed to his injuries around 10:00 pm.
Investigators stated that Flowers was a known violence producer linked to gang violence.
It is said that he was a known member of the Downtown Sparta Gang and the G6 gang.
