The Lucea police seized an AK-47 assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition, and arrested two men following an operation in Sandy Bay, Montpellier, on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports indicate that around 2:00 pm, a joint police and military operation was conducted in various sections of the community, resulting in the seizure of the assault rifle.
Police have stated that two men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure and are believed to be involved in a series of shootings and gang feuds currently ongoing in the area.
