Montego Bay, Jamaica — Air Canada has announced it will operate 14 weekly flights to Jamaica during the upcoming 2024/25 winter tourist season, in a significant boost to travel connectivity between Canada and the island. The announcement was made by Hugo Coulombe, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Air Canada Vacations, at the recent 28th annual Canadian Travel Golf Tournament Dinner held at Sandals Ocho Rios Beach Resort in St Ann.
Air Canada’s winter schedule will include three weekly flights from Montreal to Montego Bay, seven weekly flights from Toronto to Montego Bay, and four weekly flights from Toronto to Kingston.
Coulombe highlighted Jamaica’s long-standing popularity among Canadian travelers, noting, “Canada is Jamaica’s second biggest source market, behind the United States, and the island has always been a preferred destination for visitors from North America.” He also underscored Air Canada’s deep-rooted history with Jamaica, mentioning that Air Canada Vacations has been operating in Jamaica for over 40 years, while Air Canada itself has been flying to the island for an impressive 75 years.
The additional flights are expected to further support Jamaica’s tourism sector during the busy winter season, providing more travel options for Canadian visitors eager to experience the island’s culture, beaches, and warm climate.
