Kingston, Jamaica: Four men accused of involvement in a foiled robbery and subsequent standoff in Spalding, Clarendon, are scheduled to make their first appearance in the Gun Court on Thursday.
The accused, identified as:
- Andre Shim-Hue, 26
- Toney Kelly, 28
- Romaine Dockery, 28
- Shevon Carnegie, 29
Face a series of charges, including:
- Possession of prohibited weapon
- Unauthorized possession of ammunition
- Shooting with intent
- Wounding with intent
- Using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony
The incident occurred on December 8 when the men, after a failed robbery attempt, barricaded themselves inside a supermarket. A tense standoff ensued, lasting over two hours, as law enforcement negotiated with the group.
During the standoff, one of the injured gunmen used social media to broadcast a live video, pleading for mercy.
The four men were eventually apprehended and charged in connection with the incident.
