Montego Bay, St. James – A 75-year-old farmer has been charged with three counts of rape following allegations of sexual assault that reportedly occurred between 1980 and 1982 in the Retirement district of St. Elizabeth.
The Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) has laid the charges against Frederick Watson, who resides in the Trinity district of Porus, Manchester.
According to reports, Watson and the complainant, a female, were living at the same address during the period when the alleged sexual assaults took place on multiple occasions.
The matter was officially reported to the police in January of this year, 2025, prompting an immediate investigation by CISOCA.
Watson was taken into custody on Monday, April 28th. Following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney, he was formally charged with the three counts of rape.
At this time, the court date for Mr. Watson’s appearance is in the process of being finalised.
