St Ann. Jamaica: Boy Drowns in Tank – The St. Ann police are conducting an investigation into the alleged drowning of a seven-year-old boy, whose lifeless body was discovered in a water tank in the backyard of his home in Watt Town, St. Ann, on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Aquan Curry, also of Watt Town.
Reports indicate that sometime after 7:00 p.m., Aquan’s grandfather, who was at home with him, realized that he was missing and raised an alarm. Other relatives joined in the search, but their efforts were in vain.
The search was called off due to darkness, and early Tuesday morning, around 7:00 a.m., they made the grim discovery when the lifeless body of the youngster was found floating in the water tank behind the house.
The police were alerted, and upon arrival, they summoned the fire department. The water was drained from the tank, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
