St. Andrew, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Whitehall Avenue and Barbican Road communities within the St. Andrew North Division. The curfew commenced at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2.
Authorities have implemented the measure as part of ongoing efforts to maintain order and enhance public safety within these areas.
Whitehall Avenue Community Boundaries:

EAST: From Plum Lane and Wayne Drive, following an imaginary line to the Whitehall Seventh Day Adventist, Victoria Close.

SOUTH: From Whitehall Seventh Day Adventist, Victoria Close, to the intersection of Watson Drive and Cadet Drive.

WEST: From the intersection of Watson Drive and Cadet Drive to the intersection of Donmair Drive and Terracotta Close.

NORTH: From the intersection of Donmair Drive and Terracotta Close, following an imaginary line to the intersection of Plum Lane and Wayne Drive.
Barbican Road Community Boundaries:

EAST: From the intersection of Essex Avenue and Barbican Road to Lot 13 Essex Avenue.

SOUTH: From Lot 13 Essex Avenue to 15 Dulwich Drive.

WEST: From 15 Dulwich Drive to the intersection of Grants Pen Road and Barbican Road.

NORTH: From the intersection of Grants Pen Road and Barbican Road to the intersection of Essex Avenue and Barbican Road.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons residing within the specified boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorized by the police personnel responsible for enforcing the curfew.
The St. Andrew North Police Division has advised residents to comply fully with the restrictions and cooperate with law enforcement officers to ensure the safety and security of the community.
