19-Year-Old Girl Murdered in Anchovy, St James

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 19-Year-Old Girl Murdered: Detectives attached to the Anchovy police station in St James are now carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a teenage girl in Mt Carey District on Friday night, September 1st.

The dead teenager has been identified as,  19-year-old Trudi-Ann Lennon, otherwise called ( Trudy) of Cozy Corner in Mt Carey.

Reports by the Anchovy Police are that shortly after 9:00 pm on Friday, Lennon was coming home from work and had just alighted from a taxi motor car.

She was walking along the Cozy Corner road when one man walked up to her and brandished a handgun. The man fired several shots hitting the female to the upper body and then made his escape in a waiting motor car.

The Anchovy police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded teenager was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
