$100,000 Grocery Store Robbery in Unity Hall, St James

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Grocery Store Robbery in Unity Hall: The Freeport police in Montego Bay St James has now commenced an investigation into the larceny of cash and goods valued at over $100,000.00 which were discovered stolen from a Bar and Grocery Store located at Unity Hall in the parish on Saturday morning.

Reports by the police are that the female owner of the Bar and Grocery Store securely closed her business on Friday, December 8, 2017, about 9:30 p.m. and went home. At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, when she opened her store, she discovered that her store was broken into and the robbers gained entry into the building by cutting a hole in the roof. She then called the police.

On the arrival of the lawmen, investigations revealed that an undetermined sum of cash, assorted cigarettes and assorted liquors amounting to over $100,000.00 were stolen.
