Police in St. James Parish are searching for a man suspected of killing a 53-year-old woman during a dispute on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as “Lorraine” of Goodwill in the Anchovy area.
Reports indicate that about 9:00 p.m., Lorraine was visiting a man at a residence in Mount Salem when an argument reportedly developed between them. During the altercation, the man allegedly used a machete to inflict multiple wounds. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as Kevin Tomlinson, also known as “Chop E Line” of Valencia Drive in Mount Salem.
Up to the time of reporting, Tomlinson remained at large. Police have launched a manhunt and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
Investigations are ongoing.
