Kingston, Jamaica – Police in St Andrew North are investigating the suspected suicide of a man in the upscale community of Norbrook, St Andrew, on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old James Todd, of a Norbrook Drive, Kingston 8 address.
Reports are that in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Todd began behaving out of character, after which loud explosions were heard coming from his bedroom.
Upon making checks, Todd’s parents reportedly discovered him lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head. A Sig Sauer 9mm pistol and two magazines were reportedly found beside him.
He was rushed to the Andrews Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigators seized the 9mm pistol, along with a Beretta shotgun that was found locked in a safe at the house.
The St Andrew North police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
