PORTMORE, St Catherine — A 47-year-old fitness instructor died on Wednesday after succumbing to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash along Grange Lane in Portmore on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Christopher Pinnock of Morris Meadows, St Catherine.
According to police reports, Pinnock was driving along the roadway around 11:15 p.m. when he lost control of his motor car, which slammed into a concrete culvert.
He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was admitted. Despite efforts to save him, Pinnock died the following day.
The Portmore Traffic Department is investigating the incident as they seek to determine the cause of the crash.
Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution, especially at night, to prevent further road fatalities.
